After spending all of this week painting all of the closets in the house, and the ceiling and baseboard in those closets, it was nice to be able to paint with color today. I’m always second-guessing myself on color choices, and I usually tend to go with “safe” colors (ie: beige). We’ve decided to be just a bit different in this house and add a little life to it.
The previous colors were, um, not anything we would have chosen. We’ll just leave it at that. You can see the old color and the new color in the first photo.
I really like the way the color looks with the white shutters and trimwork.
Of course, color variations in monitor settings may not reveal the true color, but take my word for it, it’s gorgeous…it’s exactly what I wanted. We ran out of daylight for the second coat; we’ll get that on soon.
Oh, it’s called “Waterscape” by Sherwin-Williams.

It is beautiful. Good for you for stepping out of your comfort zone. A fresh new look. (I have those comfort zones too…most of my walls are a cream color). But I’m feeling the urge to step it up a bit, watching you and Jill…
