Friday…the 13th

Just a quick update…

Yes, it’s Friday the 13th, and I really don’t care.

I’m buying paint samples today and painting squares on several walls in the house. We’ll see if I like Waterscape in the master bedroom, Dewy in the master bath and hallway, Composed in the study, Drizzle in the guest room, Tidewater in the guest bath, Spearmint in the kitchen, and Realist Beige everywhere else. These are all Sherwin-Williams colors. It sounds like a lot of different colors, but they are all hues and shades of just three colors. (Thanks, Jill, for your suggestions and assistance!)

We will be spending Saturday painting. Fun, fun. Anyone wanna help?

The cabinet installer measured the kitchen yesterday afternoon. We’ll be meeting with our designer again in a few days to get the cabinets ordered and set up the appointment with the counter top installer.

The tile guy is coming this afternoon to look things over and work up an estimate. He’s also going to rip out the cabinets and counters and backsplash. If the cabinets stay intact, we’re planning to contact Habitat for Humanity to donate those and the appliances that we’re replacing.

I still have to find an electrician who doesn’t mind doing a small job (installing some wiring in the kitchen and possibly relocating a 220v outlet).

On Sunday, Doc and I will be transferring our membership to our “new” church. We have decided that we’re committed and involved enough that joining would be a good thing to do.
