Ten days…
2300-plus miles…
A family reunion…
A family wedding…
A move…
One very angry cat.
We’re home.
We’re tired.
Photos later.

So little time in some days…
So much to do…
There is an adventure in my near future, so I won’t be found hanging out here for the next several days.
I’ll be spending a lot of quality time with the grown-up versions of the children in this photo and their families.
Family and fun await!
Photo: That’s me on the far right…about the only time in my life that I was taller than anyone else pictured here.

Being sick is never a good thing. Being sick over a weekend is the pits. Friends were stopping by on Friday for a visit and dinner out, and we were really looking forward to their visit. Doc came home from work with a queasy tummy but we still managed to have a good time with our friends (please come again anytime!).
By Saturday morning, he felt better, but I didn’t. (D & L, I hope we haven’t shared this with you and the grandkids!) I won’t go into any detail, but I had the queasy tummy thing with a killer headache that day. By evening, I felt better. Or so I thought. I did manage to get out and take these photos that evening.
On Sunday morning, I wasn’t feeling great, but we managed to visit an area church anyway. By the afternoon, I was definitely not any better. I did get another box tackled while taking it easy. The box was filled with recipes and photos and newspaper clippings and papers written by my children when they were young. I pared it down to about one-sixth of what it had been.
This morning, I’m better…I think. I look as if I was in a fist-fight, so I’ll stick around the apartment today and work on projects here. Tomorrow I’ll get out and get the car serviced, stop by the dry-cleaners, return a library book, and hit the grocery store. Oh, and shop for a dress to wear to my niece’s upcoming wedding.
I hope everyone else had a much better weekend!

More on the photos:
Can you see the plane in the last photo?
By sunset, we could see that this cloud was full of lightning. That evening, around 12:30 am, I was awakened by a very loud boom of thunder. It rained hard for the next two hours with non-stop loud thunder and blinding lightning. I sat up and watched it all. *yawn*

I had to drive into Tampa yesterday to deliver some meeting materials to Doc. On the way there, I noticed several colorfully-painted homes and businesses. I tried to remember where they were on my way back, but only caught these three. They were too colorful to not share.
I’m surprised that last one came out. I was on a highway traveling about 50 mph and shot this out of the side window without aiming.
